Stefan - working on Ragged And Dirty from your Country Blues set at the moment. Always loved this tune, one of the catchiest blues licks.
Quick question please - in the chords, after you go back from C to G (13th measure in the tablature), you play the G7 chord in the conventional way before the lick and then switching back to the thumb-over G position (the position that Duck Baker calls 'the secret chord').
Is this because it's a little easier on the left hand rather than going straight for the thumb over position and staying there, or gives a smooth transition or because you need the B sound in the bass on the 5th string at that point (or another reason)?
Is going for the thumb over instead ok at that point?
All the best,
